"Disintegration" Ray

A retro-futuristic ray gun created by Vinnie Sorceil. If you are attuned to this item, you can use an action to shoot a single, concentrated bolt of energy at a target. On a hit, the target struck by this weapon’s bolt appears to disintegrate; in reality, it is sent to the Ethereal Plane, where it remains for an amount of time that is up to the DM. While there, the target can follow the players if it decides it wants to, appearing out of thin air whenever the DM decides its’ time in that plane is up.

The bonus for rolling to hit with this weapon is your Proficiency Bonus + your Dexterity modifier.
