Siluriformuloid Mafia

The Siluriformuloid Mafia is a convoluted network of siluriformuloid mafiosos running an organized crime scheme that revolves around the fine dining industry in Lyre. Their don, or codfather, is a massive, powerful siluriformuloid named Finny Fingers Malone.

Despite being headquartered in Balaris, the mafia is known for their ability to swiftly migrate to different areas of the world, which has made apprehending them and breaking up the mob a task more easier said than done. They are infamous for feuding with various different groups, including the goblins, Silver Cloak, pirates, Magicorp, the drow, and the githyanki.

They are solely responsible for the defense and maintenance of the Balaris Fishing Settlement, which is the source of the majority of their revenue in exporting different kinds of fish. Various countries at different points in history have attempted to colonize or claim the settlement, but each time the mafia was able to repel the invaders. Roughly 40 years before the events of the first campaign, an international law was passed declaring the fishing settlement to be a protected, sovereign land belonging to the siluriformuloids.

The mob controls an immense amount of wealth hidden away in different banks throughout the world, and they are also known for employing non-siluriformuloid members for their schemes.
